  • DO YOU CHARGE A SERVICE FEE TO BOOK TRAVEL?
    Yes and no. Each traveler is unique and every journey is different. We’ve designed our services to be flexible and adaptable so we can tailor your travel arrangements to your unique preferences and personal travel style. If you are simply looking for us to book your hotel to receive our VIP perks, there is no cost to you. For custom itineraries and curated tour and cruise packages, our Travel Design rates are based on the length and complexity of the trip and the number of travelers. During your complimentary discovery call we will provide you with the costs to design your trip.
  • DO YOU PROVIDE AN ITEMIZED BREAKDOWN OF COSTS?
    When possible. Some of our Travel Partners provide package pricing that includes negotiated rates with hotels, resorts and tour operators that is not disclosed in their package pricing. In these cases Travel That Delights is unable to provide an itemized breakdown of the costs. When our Travel Partners do share itemized costs we are happy to share them with our clients.
  • WHY SHOULD I USE A TRAVEL ADVISOR TO BOOK MY TRAVEL?
    By using a professional Travel Advisor, you’re hiring an expert to make your travel arrangements. Our relationships with our Travel Partners give us access to perks, upgrades, and amenities that are unavailable to the public or online. Who doesn’t love free perks like a free room upgrade, free spa treatment, $150 resort credit, and early/late check-in/out? We pass on any hotel promotions as well. We’re here for you every step of the way: making your reservations, managing your itinerary, and ensuring everything goes perfectly. Plus, we can manage any last-minute changes or answer questions while you are away.
  • HOW DOES TRAVEL THAT DELIGHTS MAKE MONEY?
    Some of our Travel Partners offer us a commission that is paid after travel is complete, however most itineraries include bookings that do not pay any commission. If a trip is canceled or postponed, no commissions are paid. Our Travel Design fees compensate us for the time we spend upfront to plan your vacation, make the bookings, and when necessary, to modify, cancel, or reschedule your reservations. When you book a Cruise or Escorted Group Tour through Travel That Delights, you receive our VIP perks, and we receive a commission from the Travel Partner for bringing the business to them at no cost to you. Travel Partners that do offer a commission build it into their pricing, so you never pay an inflated price to use a professional Travel Advisor.
  • DO I NEED TO PAY UPFRONT?
    Most itineraries include a combination of pre-paid items and reservations that will be secured with a credit card, but paid at the time of service. Each itinerary will include the costs, payment terms, due dates, and the Travel Supplier's Terms & Conditions of Booking for each component of your trip. We will make any scheduled payments on your behalf, by the due dates specified on your itinerary.
  • HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I PLAN MY TRIP?
    Ideally, the best vacations are planned at least six months in advance, but we work with all timelines. Additional fees may apply for last-minute itineraries within 30 days of departure.
  • I DO NOT CONSIDER MY TRAVEL BUDGET TO BE LUXURY, CAN I STILL WORK WITH YOU?
    Of course! We've designed our services to be flexible and adaptable so we can tailor your travel arrangements to your unique preferences, budget and personal travel style.
